Performance is designed for well-prepared riders with good base endurance and experience on longer mountain routes. Daily distances are roughly 38–127 km with 375–2,625 m of climbing, depending on the region. This format is not suited to beginners. See the Trip Preparation page for details.
This is not a race. We ride as one small group with a professional guide, regrouping on climbs and at feed stops. The support van is always behind the group, so nobody is ever left alone on the road.
You can bring your own bike or rent a carbon road bike from us — just mark it in the application form and we will confirm availability and sizing personally. A mechanic looks after every bike daily.
The climbs are long but steady. A compact crankset (50/34) with an 11–32 or 11–34 cassette is ideal — you will spend a lot of time climbing seated at your own rhythm.
Submit the application form and we will personally get back to you within 24 hours with detailed information about routes, accommodation, logistics and payment. Only 12 places are available per camp.
All meals are prepared fresh by our resident chef with local Rhodope ingredients — sports breakfast before the ride, recovery nutrition after, and a shared dinner in the evening. Tell us about allergies or preferences in the application form.
Sofia (SOF, about 3 hours) and Plovdiv (PDV, about 1 hour) are the closest airports to Progled. VELOVIA organises the transfer on request, including transport of your bike — see the Getting Here page.
